With his Chicano identity and original style inspired by graffiti art, lowrider design, and prison art style (paños) drawn by Chicano prisoners, he has gained tremendous support from musicians and Hollywood stars around the world, also described by the New York Times as "an important figure in the Los Angeles hip-hop scene" and the BBC as "one of the greatest tattoo artists in America."
